THERAPY FOR ADULTS AND TEENS
I’m Dr. Alison Moon Jackson, a licensed clinical psychologist providing therapy to adults and teens. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and used to holding a lot, but privately feel anxious, self-critical, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand.
I help clients make sense of the deeper roots of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and recurring emotional patterns. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand the “why” beneath your feelings, choices, and reactions.
My work is grounded in the belief that insight can create more freedom. As we understand the patterns shaping your thoughts, relationships, and behavior, it becomes possible to respond differently, build more secure connections, and move toward a life that feels more honest, connected, and your own.
EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, where I trained in contemporary psychodynamic therapy and depth-oriented work. I completed my predoctoral internship at Access Institute for Psychological Services in San Francisco. Before becoming a psychologist, I studied sociology at Vassar College, with a focus on feminism, identity, and systems of power. These interests continue to shape my attention to the ways relationships, culture, family, and larger systems influence emotional life. My clinical experience includes over fifteen years of working with adults and teens across a range of settings.
